EV enthusiasts across the nation have been waiting for this one big launch for months now. The wait is finally over, as the Tata Harrier.ev has now made its debut in India. The instant question on everyone’s mind – is it worth the hype (and the money)? Well, six terrain modes, 0–100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, and quad-wheel drive are just some features. So, you be the judge.
And to help you with this decision, know that the Harrier.ev is based on the next-gen acti.ev+ pure EV architecture. Moving on from claims, let’s have a look at its numbers. The Harrier.ev is powered by a dual motor setup, making it a quad-wheel drive (QWD). This setup comes with a power of 158 PS (116 kW) at the front and 238 PS (175 kW) at the back. This is enough to deliver a torque of 504 Nm and an acceleration of 0–100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. There are two battery pack options of 65 kWh and 75 kWh, delivering a claimed range from 480km to 505km on a full charge. Additionally, 1.5C fast charging support on the Harrier.ev gives up to 250km of charge in just 15 minutes.
