Hyundai Ioniq 7 Three-Row Electric SUV Spied Testing

As the car's spy shots surface on the internet, Hyundai seems set to launch its all-new Ioniq 7 electric SUV

With the recent news coming up by Carwale, Hyundai’s full-size electric SUV the Ioniq 7 was spied testing. The car was first showcased as the first-ever 3-row electric vehicle from the house of Hyundai and is speculated to be launched in 2024. The new spy shots of the vehicle hint that the car will sport headlights similar to the ones seen on its sibling, the Hyundai Palisade. Moreover, it can be noticed that the car will be offered with full body cladding and a good set of wheels.

Although the spy shots show a fully covered vehicle under testing, we can speculate that the headlights and the taillights follow the vertical layout according to the modern-day design. Furthermore, some subtle details can be observed, like the roof rails, dual-tone paint with a blacked-out roof including body-coloured ORVMs with turn indicators.

Ioniq 7 Battery Pack

The Ioniq 7 is said to be powered by a 76.1kWh battery pack that will be paired with a rear-staged motor that might chunk out 350nm of maximum torque. For a better and longer range, Hyundai might offer a 99.8kWh battery pack option that will give a maximum range of over 400km. The Hyundai Ioniq 7 is based on the brand’s eGMP electric platform which is currently followed by Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and EV9.

The Hyundai Ioniq 7 competes with Mercedes EQB, EQS SUV, Tesla Model X, Kia EV9, and Volvo EX90. The closest car that comes to the Hyundai Ioniq 7 is the Kia EV9. The Kia EV9 will be based on the same specs as the Hyundai Ioniq 7 including a 99.8kWh battery pack that is speculated to return a 541km of maximum range on the Kia EV9. The Kia EV9 uses the same 800V technology which is used in the high-end luxury sedan the Porche Taycan. The same can be expected on the Hyundai Ioniq 7 as well.
