French automaker Citroen has partnered with BluSmart Mobility, an electric mobility service provider. The aim of this partnership is to boost the country’s electric vehicle (EV) landscape. According to the MoU, BluSmart Mobility will acquire 4,000 units of the e-C3 within the coming year to extend its fleet in India.
As per the press release, the new Citroën e-C3, an all-electric compact SUV, will contribute to the growth of BluSmart’s fleet, which already has over 7,000 EVs. During the intial stage, BluSmart inaugurated 125 Citroen e-C3 vehicles at its EV charging superhub in Bengaluru.
About the e-C3
The e-C3 is an electric compact SUV that has an impressive range of 320 km. It also features fast charging technology, which can reach a full charge in under an hour.
Also, equipped with a 29.2 kWh battery pack, the EV features a front axle-mounted electric motor producing 57 hp and reaching peak torque of 143 Nm. Moreover, drivers have the option to select from two driving modes – Eco and Standard. They can also take advantage of the regenerative braking function.
Currently, this model is available at a starting price of Rs 12.47 lakh (ex-showroom). Moreover, the electric car comes with a battery warranty of 7 years or 1.40 lakh km.
The Collaboration of Citroen and BluSmart

Moreover, it strengthens the company’s collective goal of decarbonizing cities by promoting electric vehicles (EVs).
BluSmart has played a significant role in India’s electric mobility advancement. Moreover, the company has a fleet of 7,000 BluSmart EVs and has covered more than 410 million clean kilometres since its inception. BluSmart, equipped with 4,440 EV chargers across 36 charging superhubs, is ready to address the rising demand for ride-hailing services in Indian megacities.
