Anil Ambani owns BYD Seal Premium with 650km range and Ioniq 5 with 631km range

The Ambani family, India’s wealthiest, is hosting the second pre-wedding celebration for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. They will hold the event in Italy and France from May 29, 2024, to June 1, 2024.

Family members, big business magnets, and celebrities have already begun flying to Italy. However, recently, Anil Ambani, Mukesh Ambani’s younger brother, was seen at the airport in a BYD Seal electric sedan.

Anil Ambani has a collection of expensive cars. Nonetheless, it seems that the BYD Seal EV is the latest addition to his collection. With a price tag exceeding Rs 41 lakh, the BYD Seal stands as the flagship vehicle for the company in India. Furthermore, it made its debut at the Auto Expo 2023.

About BYD Seal

Indian market gets two battery options for the Seal EV: 61.44kWh and 82.56KWh.

The 61.44 kWh battery pack is a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variant, producing 201 hp and 310 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, the claimed range of this version is 510 km.

The 82.56 kWh battery pack powers the Premium variant, which also operates on rear-wheel drive (RWD). Generating 308 hp and 360 Nm torque, this version enables the EV to achieve 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds. The Premium variant boasts a claimed driving range of 650 km.

Using a 150-kW charger, the Seal EV can charge from 10% to 80% in just 37 minutes. However, with a standard 11 kW AC charger, it will take approx. 8.5 hours to charge the vehicle from 0 to 100%.

The BYD Seal price begins at Rs 41 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 53 lakh, ex-showroom.

Ambani’s EV Choices: Ioniq 5

Anil Ambani has previously been seen in an electric vehicle. The media spotted the businessman earlier this year in a Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric crossover.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is available exclusively as a rear-wheel drive vehicle. The rear-mounted electric motor generates 215 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. Moreover, its 72.6 kWh battery pack claims a range of 631 km.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 represents Hyundai’s flagship EV and marks the highest-priced offering from the Korean manufacturer in India. The price of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 starts at ₹46.05 lakh.
