BYD Atto 3 Price Dropped: New Base Variant in India Starts at Rs 24.99 Lakh

BYD has rolled out an updated version of the Atto 3 compact SUV in India. The Atto 3 now comes in a new base variant, Dynamic, starting at Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This cuts the entry price for Atto 3 ownership by Rs 9 lakh, making the Atto 3 50kWh the most affordable BYD model in India.

The Atto 3 is now available in three different trims – Dynamic, Premium, and Superior – and comes with two battery pack choices. You can purchase the Premium trim for Rs 29.85 lakh, whereas the high-end Superior trim remains at Rs 33.99 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).

A major update features a reduced 50kWh battery pack for the entry-level variant and a new exterior color option.

The Atto 3 Retains the Interior and Features

The Atto 3’s exterior design remains unchanged from the earlier version. However, it now offers a new Cosmo Black paint option alongside Ski White, Boulder Grey, and Surf Blue. The cabin layout remains the same as well. But it now comes with a new dual-tone color scheme that pairs blue with black.

Moreover, the BYD Atto 3 continues with the same equipment list, which includes:

  • A 12.8-inch rotating display
  • A panoramic sunroof
  • 360-degree cameras
  • Wireless charging
  • A one-touch power tailgate
  • Eight-speaker audio setup.

However, the entry-level variant does not include the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) package available on the higher trims.

A Smaller 50kWh Battery Pack

The Atto 3 comes with the same electric motor system as before, which generates 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. The base Dynamic variant takes 7.9 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. However, the Premium and Superior variants complete this acceleration in just 7.3 seconds.

Both the Premium and Superior variants feature a 60.48 kWh battery pack. They offer an ARAI-certified range of up to 521 km, whereas the Dynamic variant’s 50kWh battery pack provides a range of up to 468 km. All variants can reach 80% charge from 0% in 50 minutes with a DC fast charger. However, the base model has a reduced AC charging time of 8 hours.
