Israel’s EVR Motors, a company known for high-power-density electric motors, has opened a new manufacturing plant in Manesar, Haryana. The facility will operate under its subsidiary, I.EVR Motors Pvt Ltd.
The plant represents a notable achievement as the first manufacturing venture in India for an Israeli auto company. It will play a crucial role in shaping EVR’s global production strategy.
In Manesar, the factory will manufacture trapezoidal geometry coils, an exclusive component vital to EVR’s innovative Trapezoidal Stator Radial Flux Permanent Magnet (RFPM) motor technology. These coils are critical for EVR’s electric motors, renowned for their compact size, reduced weight, and enhanced cost efficiency. Additionally, they can accommodate various customer needs.
Initially, the automated facility will manufacture coils for around 20,000 motors each month. Additionally, plans are underway to rapidly increase production to about 100,000 motors to meet the rising global demand for EVs.
EVR Motors has finalized commercial contracts with notable Indian automotive firms like Napino, Belrise Group, EKA Mobility, and RSB Transmissions. These contracts highlight EVR Motors’ commitment to establishing robust partnerships within the Indian automotive industry.
On the inauguration of the manufacturing plant, Sajal Kishore, MD of I.EVR Motors Pvt Ltd. said:
The opening of our new plant in India is a significant milestone in our mission to revolutionise electric mobility with innovative motor technologies.
By establishing this facility, we ensure a reliable supply chain and support our growth plans in India and globally. This venture exemplifies India-Israel business cooperation and embodies our vision of ‘Make in India for the world.
The RFPM motor technology, boasting 11 patents, serves various applications across different sectors. These applications include two- and three-wheelers, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and off-road vehicles.
The motors provide outstanding modularity, accommodating voltages ranging from 48 volts up to more than 400 volts. These motors seamlessly adapt to varying speed and power demands, eliminating the need for adjustments in components or processes.
Speaking at the inauguration, Naor Gilon, Ambassador of Israel to India said:
The establishment of EVR Motors’ manufacturing plant in India marks a significant milestone in the deepening economic and technological ties between Israel and India.
By leveraging advanced Israeli technology and India’s robust industrial capabilities, we are setting a precedent for future partnerships.
