HiPhi A Electric Hypercar With 300 Kmph Top Speed Unveiled

With a jaw-dropping acceleration, HiPhi A goes from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2 seconds

HiPhi is a well-known Chinese EV car maker. The brand has revealed its collaborative product, the HiPhi A. The collaboration involves Apollo Automobil for hypercar elements and Wesail New Energy Automotive for the development of battery and motor technology. The resulting electric hypercar promises a staggering acceleration of 0-100 kmph in just over 2 seconds and a targeted top speed of almost 300 kmph.

The car was unveiled in a livestream event by the company on November 15. Later, the car was showcased physically at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 17. The production and delivery of the HiPhi A will commence in the first quarter of 2025. Limited units are set to be produced for the car.

The HiPhi is an inspiration taken from Apollo Automobil which underlines the design language of the car. The electric supercar has been built for aerodynamics and screams lightweight and lower drag. The shape of the EV is all filled with sharp cuts and edges for drag control, carbon fibre elements for weight loss, and a Matte paint finish for sporty looks.

For performance, the HiPhi A includes a single motor at the front and dual motors at the rear. The combination leads to a maximum power output of 1305ps. Due to the ultra-high-speed rotor and the oil-cooling technology embedded in it, the car cruises smoothly at 22,000 rpm for more than 30 minutes.

The Battery pack is protected with a carbon fibre bullet-proof bottom shield and a fireproof carbon fibre top cover. It returns an output of 1.5MW of power. HiPhi A also features rear-wheel steering and CDC continuously variable damping. Furthermore, it offers a close to 50:50 body-to-weight ratio for better handling around the corners as well as daily drives.  Since it is based on the HVC (HiPhi Vectoring Control) technology, the car offers improved control around the corners and in braking.

At the launch, David Ding, HiPhi Founder, Chairman and CEO, said, “Current trends will always continue to evolve and change with the advancement of technology and the passage of time, while classic and refined luxury has an enduring appeal. From the internal combustion engine era to the new era of intelligent electric mobility, the top hypercars should represent the pinnacle of innovative technology while still paying tribute to the classics, showcasing the transformative nature as a way to look toward the future.”

“The combination of HiPhi’s luxury product concept, first-class development and industrial capabilities with WESAIL New Energy Automotive’s Apollo supercar elements, combined with the technical expertise and innovation from ShanghaiTech University, makes HiPhi A what it is – a true work of art for this new era.”
