Mercedes-Benz India has announced a new loyalty offer for its range of electric car offerings in India. The initiative brings discounts of up to Rs 5 lakh on the company’s high-end electric vehicles (EVs), including the EQB, the EQE and the EQS. Note that the hefty discount will be offered only to the existing Mercedes-Benz customers who wish to upgrade to an electric car by the brand.

In essence, the offer works as a loyalty bonus to existing Mercedes-Benz owners. Since it is only applicable to the three pure electric models by the company, it seems to be a good chance for those wishing to upgrade to battery EVs from the house of Mercedes-Benz. Customers can avail of this offer under the Mercedes-Benz Sustainability Fest, which brings an exclusive loyalty voucher, again, only for the Mercedes Benz owners. 

As for the amount of discount, the Rs 5 lakh discount can be availed on two specific Mercedes-Benz models, namely EQB and EQE. Prior to the discount, the price of the Mercedes-Benz EQB was Rs 74.50 lakh for the base variant. With the new loyalty offer, the starting price of the EQB has now come down to Rs 69.5 lakh. Similarly, the starting price of the Mercedes-Benz EQE after discount is now Rs 1.34 crore. Mercedes also promises to pay off 50 per cent of the tax and tariff on these models. 

Even before the attractive discounts, 2023 has shown strong sales for Mercedes-Benz India. Despite the delay in deliveries of certain models this year, including the GLA, GLC and GLS SUVs due to the shortage in the supply chain, Mercedes-Benz has managed to sell 12,768 units from January to September 2023. This is a considerable growth of 11 per cent over last year’s sales. The company also achieved 22 per cent growth from high-end models like the Mercedes-Benz S-class and upper models this year.
