Tata Punch EV Bookings Open, Five Variants On Offer

Tata Motors has finally introduced the Punch EV amidst much anticipation. The latest electric car from the house of Tata Motors has been built on the company’s innovative ACTIEV platform and is now up for bookings. Posed as a challenger to the Citroen eC3, the electric micro-SUV can be booked by interested buyers for a price of Rs 21,000. The Tata Punch EV has been launched in five models and a total of 9 exterior colour combinations.

For those unaware, the Tata Punch EV comes as an electrified version of Tata’s micro-SUV that goes by the same name – Tata Punch. The new Punch EV has now been introduced in different variants, namely – Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. The nine exterior colours in which these models are available include four monotone options: Seawood Green, Daytona Grey, Fearless Red, and Pristine White. The other five are dual-tone options, with a black roof and a new Oxide colour available only on the Empowered and Empowered+ trims.

As for its performance, the new Punch EV comes with two battery pack options: medium and long range. The Medium model only has a 3.3kW charger, however, the Long Range variant has a 7.2kW DC fast charger option, which improves charging capacity for consumers. The Punch EV is also equipped with new-age features, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround-view camera, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and Harman-powered speakers. Air purifiers, single-pane sunroof, cruise control, wireless mobile connectivity, and six airbags are standard across all models.

The new Punch EV by Tata Motors comes as a great addition to the affordable electric car segment in India. With its numerous versions, colour options, and innovative amenities, the Punch EV is a potent addition to the country’s electric vehicle market. It remains to be seen how the new Tata EV is welcomed in the Indian market.
