Ather Energy has started delivering its highly awaited Rizta electric scooter in India. The company designed the latest e-scooter for families and aims to make electric mobility a practical choice for everyone.
Currently, Ather Energy is delivering the scooter to cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, Nagpur, and across Andhra Pradesh. However, deliveries in other cities will happen soon.
Ather CEO, Tarun Mehta, recently announced the phased launch on social media. Not long ago, he posted about the production of the Rizta. He actively engages with the audience on social media platforms, making them feel heard, which could positively influence potential buyers.
Design of the New Rizta
The Rizta offers a larger and more practical design than the Ather 450X.
It features a spacious seat and plenty of storage space under the seat. Moreover, the Z variants include a comfortable pillion setup with a backrest.
Battery and Range
The Rizta is available in three versions: S (2.9 kWh), Z (2.9 kWh), and Z (3.7 kWh). The S and Z models with the 2.9 kWh battery claim a range of 123 km under Indian Driving Conditions (IDC). Both variants come with a 350W portable charger that takes about 6 hours and 40 minutes to charge from 0% to 80%.
Meanwhile, the Rizta Z with the 3.7 kWh battery claims a range of 160 km under IDC. This variant comes with a 700W Ather Duo charger that takes around 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0% to 80%.
Notable Features
The scooter offers two ride modes: Smart Eco and Zip. Moreover, the Z variants come with a 7-inch TFT instrument console featuring Bluetooth connectivity and Google Maps navigation.
On the other hand, the S model has a 7-inch LCD instrument console that supports Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Ather provides a Pro package starting at Rs 13,000, which unlocks extra premium features. Furthermore, the scooter boasts a large 34-liter underseat storage capacity.
Price
The Rizta S variant begins at ₹1.10 lakh. Meanwhile, Ather offers the Z variant in two battery configurations: a 2.9 kWh battery priced at Rs 1,24,999 and a larger 3.7 kWh battery priced at Rs 1,44,999. Note that all prices are ex-showroom.
