Acer, a Taiwanese technology major, has now entered the EV space in India with a new electric scooter named Acer MUVI 125 4G. Already a well-known brand in the Indian market, the new electric two-wheeler will help Acer debut in the electric vehicle segment in the country, just as many of its competing brands aspire to. Taking the lead, Acer will start retailing the MUVI 125 4G in India for a price of Rs 1 lakh soon.

For those unaware, the Acer MUVI 125 4G was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 held in Greater Noida earlier this year. Building on the reveal, Acer has now shared more details on the EV, including its price and specifications. It should be noted that the MUVI 125 4G has been developed and manufactured by Think eBikeGo and will only be sold under the Acer brand name.

To start with what we know about it, the new electric scooter has been launched with a price tag of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom) and can now be pre-booked through its online portal at Rs 999. The portal shows that the EV is available in 3 colour options – Polar White, Carbon Black, and Glacier Silver. Acer is also providing dealership opportunities for the MUVI 125 4G through the same portal to those interested. The company expected to begin the deliveries for the electric scooter soon.

As for its technicalities, the Acer MUVI 125 4G is powered by two 48V 35.2Ah removable batteries. These can push out a top speed of 75 kmph and a maximum range of 80 km per charge. Each of the batteries can be fully charged in under four hours and can power the electric scooter for a short run, making it more practical for City use. Other specifications include 16-inch wheels, a lightweight chassis for better range, and a Front Hydraulic Fork for an agile nature. The Scooter has some useable features like a Bluetooth-enabled 4-inch LCD screen with 3 modes, support for over-the-air upgrades, and connectivity with IOS and Android apps, making it a pretty tech-savvy scooter.
