Hyundai Unveils Exter Hy-CNG Duo Twin-Cylinder Setup, Rs 8.5L

Diesel engines are phasing out from small cars, which is leading to advancements in CNG technology. The South Korean automaker Hyundai has introduced the Hyundai Exter CNG in India, starting at ₹ 8.50 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Exter HY-CNG Duo has a dual-cylinder technology similar to models initially introduced by Tata. This innovation aims to maintain boot space while delivering low operational expenses. In addition to the Exter HY-CNG Duo, customers will have the option to choose the Exter HY-CNG (single cylinder).

What is the Mileage per kg of Exter Hy-CNG Duo?

The SUV runs on a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. It achieves a fuel efficiency of 27.1 Km/kg as per ARAI ratings.

The integrated Electronic Control Unit (ECU) in the factory-installed CNG system ensures a smooth transition between petrol and CNG modes for a seamless driving experience. When running on CNG, the engine produces a maximum power of 69 Hp and torque of 95.2 Nm.

The Exter Hy-CNG Duo comes with numerous features, including a smart electric sunroof, fully automated climate control, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), LED rear lamps, an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system, and additional amenities.

Moreover, the standard safety package includes, 6 airbags, a Highline TPMS, electronic stability control, hill-start assist control, and many other advanced features.
