Mercedes-Benz India Launched EQA 250+ and EQB 350: Price, Range and Features

Mercedes launches two BEVs in India: EQA 250+ (560 km range, Rs 66 lakh) and EQB 3504M (447 km range, Rs 75.5 lakh)

Mercedes-Benz, renowned for luxury cars, unveiled two appealing Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) from its worldwide lineup today in India. Customers can now explore the eagerly anticipated EQA 250+ BEV and the EQB 350 BEV, both designed as five-seater models.

Priced at Rs 66 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory), the EQA 250+ is Mercedes-Benz’s latest and most economical all-electric option in India. It will sit below the EQB in their lineup.

Moreover, priced from Rs 71 lakh (ex-showroom), the latest EQB 350 will sit above the EQA in Mercedes’ lineup. In India, it will be available in two variants: the five-seater EQB 350 4Matic priced at Rs 77.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and the seven-seater EQB 250+ priced at Rs 70.9 lakh (ex-showroom), boasting extended range capabilities. Bookings are now open for deliveries starting January 2025.

Both these high-end Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) will strengthen Mercedes-Benz’s lineup by providing customers with increased range, everyday usability, excellent driving dynamics, appealing Total Cost of Ownership, and excellent Residual Value.

These premium BEVs are aimed at young individuals and active families who embrace e-mobility. Through these introductions, Mercedes-Benz reaffirms its ambitious EV strategy for the Indian market, aiming to present a strong lineup of 6 top-tier BEV models this year.

About the EQA 250+:

The EQA 250+ features the ‘Electric Art’ package as standard, enhancing its modern design and sophisticated appearance. It showcases a star-patterned grille with a central star and stylish 19-inch light alloy wheels. Also, a continuous light strip emphasizes its membership in the Mercedes-Benz EV family. The Electric Art package incorporates rosé gold accents on the upholstery and air vents, accompanied by a backlit trim, creating a futuristic and luxurious atmosphere.

The single-motor configuration drives the EQA 250+, producing 188 bhp and 385 Nm of torque. It comes with a 70.5 kWh battery pack that offers a range of up to 560 km (WLTP). According to Mercedes-Benz, the battery charges from 10 to 80% in about 35 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger. The vehicle will come with an 11 kW AC charger as standard.

In India, competitors to the Mercedes-Benz EQA include models such as the BMW iX1 and Volvo XC40 Recharge.

EQB 350 4MATIC:

The new EQB 350 4MATIC will launch in India as a five-seater model. It boasts premium enhancements, including an appealing AMG Line exterior and luxurious interior. Equipped with MBUX Gen 2 featuring upgraded voice control, augmented reality navigation, and advanced driving assistance systems like Distronic Active Distance Assist and Active Lane Keep Assist, the EQB 350 4M sets a high standard in the luxury BEV category.

Regarding the powertrain, the EQB 350 4M features a dual motor configuration producing 284 bhp and 520 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the EQB 250+ has a single-motor setup generating 185 bhp and 385 Nm of torque. Both models boast a 70.5 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 535 km for the EQB 250+ and up to 447 km for the EQB 350 (WLTP cycle).

The EQB 3504M competes with the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the BMW iX1.

By the end of 2024, Mercedes-Benz plans to offer an electric vehicle in every market segment. The company wants to meet the diverse needs of all customers, from the EQA 250+ to the luxurious EQS Maybach SUV.

Mercedes-Benz India has been actively expanding a strong charging network within its Franchise Partner network, including DC Fast and Ultra-Fast Chargers (60 kW and 180 kW). Additionally, they are providing complimentary AC wall box chargers to customers with each BEV purchase.
