Statiq has launched over 400 no-cost charging points in Karnataka, as per the company’s tweet on X. For those unaware, Statiq is an electric vehicle charging operator with many EV chargers across the country.
Most EV users in India depend on home charging. Therefore, the company wants users to explore public charging options when they plan long-distance trips.
The best part of these charging stations is that they support several electric vehicles, including popular models, such as:
- Tata Nexon and Tiago EV
- MG Comet and ZS EV
- Kia EV6
- Mahindra XUV 400
- Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kona
- Citroen E-C3
- BYD e6.
At least, that is what the company claims.
Now, if you want to access the free charging service, there are a few steps that you need to follow.
- Download the Statiq app
- Add your vehicle details
- Start the charging process
Moreover, Statiq claims that users can charge their electric cars numerous times at no cost. Also, you shouldn’t worry about the hidden charges because there are none.
Keep in mind that the free charging service is available for personal vehicles and two-wheelers. However, it excludes public transport like cabs. Also, note that free charging is available on chargers listed on the Statiq app, such as Glida, Sunfuel, and e-fill.
Akshit Bansal, Founder & CEO of Statiq, commented:
Through this initiative, we aim to promote EV adoption and increase our presence in the Southern market.
The company rolled out an impressive feature last year. Again, users have to use the Statiq app to access this feature, which provides crucial information, including:
- Details on total distance covered
- Remaining range updates
- Charging indicator
That means it provides users with real-time insights to enhance their EV journey.
In addition, Statiq installed more than 7000 EV chargers in tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 cities. By the end of 2025, the company intends to grow its network to 20,000 charging stations.
Collaboration with GLIDA
Recently, Statiq partnered with GLIDA to improve the convenience and accessibility of EV charging across India.
Furthermore, EV users can locate and book EV chargers with the Statiq mobile app. Also, the app makes remote payment for charging usage much more convenient.
The company aims to provide access to EV users in the country with reliable charging facilities.
