Ola Electric plans to release its first e-bike in the first half of FY2026. The company is working on developing four different electric motorcycles. However, it intends to start selling motorcycles for the mass market. Last year, Ola revealed four concept e-bikes: Diamondhead, Adventure, Roadster, and Cruiser.
According to the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) for its IPO, the company plans to start delivering motorcycles in the first half of fiscal year 2026.
Moreover, Ola Electric intends to broaden its product range to attract more consumers with different types of products and prices over the long term. Recently, it obtained patents for three designs of electric motorcycles and a removable electric battery.
Ola Electric’s e-bike Plans
Earlier, the company announced plans to introduce four electric motorcycles. Their recent patent application for the Ola Roadster is a significant advancement following the introduction of the M1 Cyber Racer concept last year.
The design patent shows that the Roadster has a bold and sporty appearance. It includes thick tires on alloy wheels, USD forks, and a twin-disc brake system. Also, a sleek LED headlight and integrated LED turn signals on the tank covers complete the modern appearance.
The M1 Cyber Racer concept may have exciting features, although specifics haven’t been disclosed yet. It will probably include a futuristic digital instrument panel and a distinctive three-step seat design with a charging pod underneath. Furthermore, a tail light unit that fits smoothly into the design added to the modern style.
As per media reports, Ola plans to use the same platform for all four of their electric motorcycle models to ensure that the battery and mid-mounted motor specifications are consistent. However, each model will provide different power and range options to meet various riding preferences.
Ola Electric Two-Wheeler Market Dominance
Ola Electric is the top player in the Indian electric two-wheeler market, holding more than 30% of the market share. They have made a name for themselves with their S1 Pro, S1 Air, and S1 X electric scooters.
The company has experience in developing a second-gen scooter platform that offers improved features and reduced costs. Their arrival could significantly change the situation and possibly speed up the acceptance of electric motorcycles in India.
