The holy city of Ayodhya has seen many rapid developments in the past few months. However, the most recent infrastructure sustainable enhancement is the installation of EV charging points in and around the city. It is a joint initiative by Tata Power and the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA).
The primary objective of this partnership is to speed up the adoption of EVs and promote sustainable mobility solutions, said Tata Power. Moreover, they flagged off four electric vehicles to the nearby cities. By installing EV charging stations, it will be easier to connect Ayodhya with nearby major cities.
Positioned strategically, these charging points are in key routes, including:
- Lucknow to Ayodhya via NH27
- Raebarelli to Ayodhya via NH330
- Prayagraj to Ayodhya via NH330
- Gorakhpur to Ayodhya via NH27
Additionally, it will promote the adoption of e-mobility and sustainable transportation among pilgrims and tourists visiting the holy city.
In Uttar Pradesh, Tata Power is the leader in the EV charging infrastructure. In addition, with its notable market dominance in the state, Tata Power’s EZ Charge network stands out with 4137 home chargers, 230 public charging points, and 39 captive chargers.
